Store bought gripe water can be a gamble to treat your LO for colic, GERDS (reflux), restless sleep, gas relief and other stomach related issues. That is because you don't always know the safety of its ingredients. In fact several brands even use alcohol! Here are some ingredients that will help and a sample recipe.
Dill Seed:GI track. Dispels gas ,stimulates appetite ,and settles the stomach. This was also the main original ingredient used by British nannies.
Fennel Seeds:GI track. See Dill.
(Dill and Fennel are your main ingredient. You can have both in your gripe water but you must have at least one)
Cinnamon Bark: Dispels gas and decreases/eliminates vomiting.
Ginger:Stomach upset, reflux, and relieves nausea
Chamomile:Relaxant, decreases anxiety,helps promote sleep
Peppermint:Relieves stomach issues and GI upset

14.) Place into a tightly sealed jar or container.
Dosing is 5-10ml every as needed. Do not exceed 7 times within 24hours. Throw out after 24 hours has passed, thus you will need to make a new batch daily if you use it that often.
